Systematic review and network analysis of microRNAs involved in cardioprotection against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and infarction: Involvement of redox signalling

Although myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (I/R) and its pathological consequences are the leading cause of morbidity mortality worldwide, cardioprotective therapeutics still not on market. Oxidative stress, a major contributing factor to I/R, changes transcription coding non-coding RNAs, alters post-transcriptional modulations, regulate protein function. MicroRNA (miRNA) expression can be altered by oxidative stress microRNAs may also cytoprotective mechanisms exert cardioprotection againts I/R. Transcriptomic analysis I/R stress-induced alterations followed microRNA-mRNA target interaction network reveal their mRNA targets that play role in serve as microRNA or novel molecular for further drug development. Here we provide summary systematic literature review silico important via regulation redox signalling.
